Puerto Limon (PALIO) — Port Crew Change Guide

GENERAL

• Are there any restrictions on vessels whose previous port call was from COVID -19 high risk countries?
• All vessels shall to report at 96hrs before their arrival in Panama Waters
• Their last 10 port call list (to check if vessel passed from infected ports to take the proper boarding measure)
• Notify if any crewmember onboard has any symptoms or suspected COVID-19 cases
• Provide health declaration and vaccination list documents
• This will be done through VUMPA (Panama Canal authority system) and to local health department.
• Are there any restrictions on crew who embarked from COVID -19 high risk countries or specific nationalities?
• Crew change permitted?
• Yes, but subject to following conditions.
• Crew are exempted from the 14 day quarantine.
• All Crew members who embark in ports and within the jurisdictional waters of the republic of Panama, must present negative results of PCR-COVID-19 test within a maximum period of three days prior to embarkation.
• It is important to make clear, that all crew changes are subject to evaluation by the Ministry of Health (MINSA) and by the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA), within a maximum period of 72 hours prior thereto, for crew members who are transported by air.
