Malta. (MTMGZ) — Port Crew Change Guide

GENERAL

• Are there any restrictions on vessels whose previous port call was from COVID -19 high risk countries?
• Passenger Vessels, Vessels Carrying Passengers, Service Boats and Crew Changes.
• All vessels must be cleared by Port Health prior to port entry.
• Cruise Ships are not allowed to call Malta Inside the port, however, they are allowed to call for bunkers or to anchor off Malta.
• Requests from local work boats WTW / OTW are subject to Port Health clearance.

• In addition to the prescribed COVID-19 mitigation and control measures, ships subject to maritime pilotage services are instructed to implement following measures
• Master and to exercise minimum direct contact with the Marine Pilot and as reasonably practical maintain a distance of one (1) metre.
• Refrain from offering the Pilot food and beverage.
• Pilotage, Tug and Mooring services chits will not be presented for signature to the ship to minimise exchange and direct contact. The Authority will verify the rendering of services through other means. Any complaints or remarks concerning the service can be communicated to the Authority via the appointed Ship Agent.
