Port Restrictions

  • GENERAL
    • Are there any restrictions on vessels whose previous port call was from COVID -19 high risk countries?*
      • All trade vessels calling local ports will have to submit a list of previous 10 port calls as well as a crew list
      • Vessels will be cleared alongside and screening will be done to determine if a 14 days quarantine period will be imposed on the vessel.
      • Authorities may determine if the vessel needs to go through a 14 days quarantine from last port of call if vessel has called any at risk countries.
    • Are there any restrictions on crew who embarked from COVID -19 high risk countries or specific nationalities?
      • Crew Change permitted?

Flight Restrictions

  • Passengers must have
    • a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The test result must be in Arabic, French, English or Spanish; or
    • a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that
      • they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival. Vaccines accepted are: AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Covovax, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm (BIBP) and Sinovac; or
      • they were vaccinated at least 28 days before arrival. Vaccine accepted is Janssen; or
      • they were fully vaccinated and received a booster dose at least 7 days before departure; or
      • have a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued at least 11 days and at most 6 months before departure.
      • This does not apply to passengers younger than 12 years.
  • Passengers could be subject to a COVID-19 RT-PCR test upon arrival and quarantine for 10 days.
